Kini made his debut for the Flying Fijian in the match against Tonga in 2011 at Churchill Park, Lautoka. He impress selectors and was later named in the Flying Fijian squad to the 2011 RWC. Kini enjoyed a stint with Clermont from 2009-2012 before linking up with La Rochelle. He was also part of the 2015 RWC squad and the 2019 RWC will be his third world cup. Kini has 26 CAPS for Fiji with five tries and 25 total points.
