Swire Shipping Fijian Latui team announced for Western Force match
Swire Shipping Fijian Latui Coach Senirusi Seruvakula has made nine changes to its starting line-up for the match against Western Force in the Global Rapid Rugby at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
With the luxury of depth in the squad Flying Fijian hooker Mesulame Dolokoto rotates to the bench with fellow national squad member Tuvere Vugakoto lining up into the number 2 jersey.
Lock Tuifagalele Soro, flanker Elia Canakaivata and number 8 Johnny Dyer have been included in the forward pack for the Fijian Latui side.
Seruvakula said “These players have been playing well for the provincial clubs in the Skipper Cup and are great potentials to match against an experienced Western Force on Saturday.
Fiji Airways Flying Fijians and Fijian Drua star Frank Lomani returns to half-back position together with former Fijian 7s speedster Joeli Lutumailagi.
“Frank Lomani’s inclusion will boost the side as he brings experience while Lutumailagi will add power and pace on the wings alongside Apisalome Waqatabu” Seruvakula said.
Swire Shipping Fijian Latui is looking forward to continue its winning form in the Global Rapid Rugby and is aware of the threat the opposing team can pose on game day.
Seruvakula highlighted “Western Force is an experienced team and have marshaled the rules of GRR well so they will come firing at us on Saturday. We need to be more determined and avoid basic errors which we made last weekend against Kagifa Samoa.”
Swire Shipping Fijian Latui face Western Force at 3.10pm {FJT} at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Saturday.
With the Vodafone Vanua Championship local Derby between Lautoka and Yasawa kicking off at 12.15pm.
