New vintage for Fiji Rugby and Victoria Wines.

Fiji Rugby Union are thrilled to announce the signing of a new partnership with flagship boutique wine broker Victoria Wines as an official wine supplier to Fiji Rugby.

The relationship will see Victoria Wines and associated Chilean wine label Gato Negro become the wine of choice for all corporate, VIP and hospitality events for Fiji Rugby until December 2020.

Fiji Rugby Chief Executive Officer John O’Connor said it was fantastic to welcome the first class wine partner into the rugby family at an opportune time on the eve of the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians International Test season.

“As an organisation we are working hard to raise the standard of professionalism across all areas of the business. Our on field offering aims to be first class and welcoming Victoria Wines into the rugby family allows us to offer first class off-field experiences for our hospitality and events as well.”

Victoria Wines Director Liam Hindle said “Victoria Wines is pleased to renew a close relationship with Fiji Rugby, as its associated watering-hole “O’Reilly’s” has a long history of having been the Fiji Rugby Bar, entertaining legions of visiting and local players in after-match celebrations in past decades!

We are particularly pleased to be sponsoring with the famous Black Cat (Gato Negro) wine company as this is one of Chile’s most famous brands – selling over 60,000 bottles every day in 80 different countries on five different continents and still being the winner of numerous gold and silver medals.”

In addition to the supply of product through the Gato Negro label, Victoria Wines will also provide valuable event support through their network of venues across Fiji, starting with the official Fiji Airways Flying Fijians International Test Season Launch to be held at Shenanigans in Suva this week.

Although the Flying Fijian Team will miss out on sampling the wine varietals this time, as they prepare for Saturday’s test match against the Maori All Blacks, VIP’s will enjoy the fine selection of Chilean vintages on offer at the opening event
