MATCH REPORT: Naitasiri defends INKK Farebrother Trophy.

The Naitasiri rugby team successfully defended the prestigious INKK Farebrother Trophy from Namosi this afternoon beating them by 20-5 at Naluwai School ground.
 
A match worthy to be go into history books as Naitasiri successfully defended the Farebrother trophy for the second time on their home turf since 1998 against Suva.
Naitasiri drew first blood of the match in the sixteenth minute of play by a successful drop goal and then extended their lead in the 23rd minute through a penalty try.
 
However, Namosi kept on pushing forward in their attack play to score their first try in the last second of the first half.
 
Naitasiri led Namosi 10-5 in the half time break.  In the second half, the home side broke through the Namosi line of defense and added another 10points on their score line until the final whistle.
Naitasiri won the match 20-5 against Namosi.
 
Meanwhile at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, Nadroga galloped through the Tailevu  defense beating them by 24 -14. 
 
Despite the heavy downpour at the Rugby Town this afternoon, Nadroga kept their guards high and maintained the lead in the halftime break 19-0.
 
At the ANZ Stadium, Nadi kicked off their Skipper Cup season on a high note, defeating the defending champions and hosts Suva, 20-12.
 
Finally at Gatward Park in Korovou, Northland edged Rewa 13-10 in an epic battle to start off their Skipper season campaign on a high note.
 
Meanwhile Nadroga will be the next Farebrother challenger against holders Naitasiri next weekend with the venue to be confirmed.
