Catch up with Fiji Airways Fijiana XVs forward and COVID-19 team nurse Laisa Taga

How’s everything been for you in the past few weeks?

Well it’s been great actually just longer working hours. That is 12 hour shifts so basically if I’m doing morning by the time I knock off its during curfew hours so my life has simply been around home and work.

How are you maintaining your fitness?

Well to be really honest I work out on my days off mostly running. Can be hill runs or just a circuit. Or if I’am on night shift which starts at 7pm to 7am I try to do some sort of physical activity before that time.

What are some new things you’ve been trying out?

Well not much actually because I work 12 hours per day. On my days off I get to help out more at home

What do you usually do to keep you entertain?

I love to watch journal. Netflix. Train. And I’m a big foodie so yes eating 😂

Favourite read? Any book you’re enjoying right now?

That would be the Bible.

Movies or series you’re binge watching?

Yes binging on legacies. Bloodshot. Riverdale. Coffee and Kareem and many more 😂

What’s your best social media challenge right now?

My best challenge would be the push-ups 😂 I do it but I DONT like filming it 😂

How does it feel to be away from the field and your teammates?

Oh hard-out I miss my team mates and running on the field because it’s not only a sport but it helps me relieve stress as well. But during its the best time to do personal workons for instance speed endurance diet

First thing you’ll do when all this is over?

First thing I would do is attend a team training session or have a feed with the team mates.
