12 coaches involved in WR Level 3 15’s Course

12 provincial coaches are currently attending a week long World Rugby Level 3 15’s course from Monday at Albert Park in Suva.

Fiji Rugby’s National Development Manager, Koli Sewabu said “It’s running in conjunction with our Pacific Rugby Challenge so that the coaches can do live analysis, look at the trainings and see what tactics they can use plus how they can design game plans and reviews.”

The course comes at the right time for the participating coaches as they are in the process of preparing their provincial teams for Skipper Cup and the Vanua Challenge.

Sewabu said “Some have been there for some-time and now have made the step up to complete their level 3 certificate and there are some young and upcoming coaches.”

“We are encouraging a lot of our local coaches to get their accreditations.

“We are working very hard at Fiji Rugby to put some criteria’s in place and making sure that player welfare is top of the priority list” he said.

“In order for that to happen coaches, referees, strength and conditioning trainers, medical and everyone who is involved in rugby should come through and do the courses” said Sewabu.
