With deep rooted ties to the Namatakula rugby family legacy, the prop is on a mission to keep fitness up to par as he competes for a spot on a competitive Fijian Drua roster. He says, “It was good to have a run in the Skipper Cup competition at Lawaqa Park to keep my fitness at Super Rugby standards.”

“It’s a great experience being part of provincial rugby as its totally different from the Drua and what I’ve played overseas but I like the pace of the local running rugby that I saw today,” said Tuqiri.

Tuqiri was one of the four Drua players that ran out for Nadroga that made an impact on that game against Namosi.

This weekend, Nadroga takes on Naitasiri at Lawaqa Park at 3pm while Emosi Tuqiri return to the Fijian Drua who take on the might Crusaders from New Zealand at Churchill Park.
