Rooster Chicken Proudly Supports Fijian Warriors in Pacific Challenge

Suva, 9th April 2024 – Fiji Rugby Football Union Trust Board (FRFUTB) is delighted to announce a significant partnership with Rooster Chicken, as they step forward as proud sponsors of the Fijian Warriors team that take part in this week’s World Rugby Pacific Challenge hosted in Samoa. 

Contested by national “A” teams that are made-up of locally based players, the World Rugby Pacific Challenge provides the opportunity for emerging pacific players to showcase their talent and gain possible professional contracts through the Pacific Combine program, a high-performance development programme that nurtures players through to test level.

Through this partnership, Fiji Rugby and Rooster Chicken share a common goal of developing our local talent to meet the standards required for national duties going into the next Rugby World Cup.

Simione Valenitabua, Fiji Rugby’s Special Administrator says Rugby House is thrilled to have Rooster Chicken join us in supporting the Fijian Warriors, who are the defending champions of the competition from last year.

“Fiji Rugby is honored to have Rooster Chicken into our rugby family as sponsors of our national development programs,” expressed Mr. Valenitabua.

“This partnership signifies the coming together of two entities deeply committed to fostering talent, promoting sportsmanship, and celebrating our shared passion for rugby.” 

The Fijian Warriors have a successful track record through the history of the tournament having won the title 10 times since the inception of the of the competition in 2006. With Rooster Chicken’s support, the Fijian Warriors are poised to make a significant impact in the tournament, representing Fiji with pride and determination.

The Fiji “A” team participating at the World Rugby Pacific Challenge will be officially called the Rooster Chicken Fijian Warriors. Fiji Rugby extends its sincere gratitude to Rooster Chicken for their generous support and looks forward to a successful partnership both on and off the rugby field.
