Naitasiri retains Farebrother Trophy

Naitasiri retained the prestigious Farebrother Sullivan Trophy 35 – 16 after a gruelling battle against a young Rewa team at Naluwai ground.

The courages Rewa team was psyched for the challenge as they understood the gravity of the task at hand which would not be an easy one.

Rewa gave Naitasiri a hard fought battle after building an early momentum in the first half, however the highlanders proved too strong for the boys from Rewa with an onslaught of attack and support play which caused chaos for the Rewa defence.

Rewa manage to assess the Highlanders gameplay and counter their attack, added pressure to deter the Naitasiri structure of play and capitalise with few tries but this wasn’t enough to get the W in the bag and to bring the Farebrother trophy to the Rewa Delta.
