Fijiana 7s Dominate Day One at Coral Coast 7s with Powerful Performances

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team sent a powerful statement on the opening day of the Coral Coast 7s tournament at Lawaqa Park on Thursday, securing two commanding victories.

The national women’s side opened their campaign in spectacular fashion, delivering a masterclass of skill and power against Australia’s Manly Mermaids. The Fijiana side ran in multiple tries to seal an emphatic 42-0 win over the visiting Australian outfit.

Their momentum continued into a second encounter against a determined Bilo Bar Afflame Women’s team. While meeting sterner resistance, the Fijiana squad-maintained control to secure a 27-5 victory, completing a perfect day one.

The team’s assistant coach expressed satisfaction with the strong start. “We have done both of our games today and the girls have done well, and we are looking forward to day 2,” Emosi Mulevoro shared.
