SportsWorld Fijian U20 Build Momentum Ahead of Departure for South Africa

The SportsWorld Fijian Under-20 rugby team entered its final phase of preparation with confidence and renewed strength, according to the team’s Manager Kausheel Prasad.
During a recent training session in Valelevu, Mr Prasad acknowledged that weather conditions have posed challenges for the team. Yet with the determination and the positive mindset within the squad, they’ve managed to remain focused despite disruptions.
“The weather hasn’t really helped us a lot, but the boys are in high spirits,” Mr Prasad shared.
“They’ve shown great commitment and are coping well with the demands of camp.”
The Fiji U20 welcomes six new players as preparations continue for upcoming international duties.
Mr Prasad highlighted the team’s upcoming trip to South Africa has already been given a name, and with some seasoned players on board, things are looking up for them.
He pointed out that having these experienced players join the squad has given them a bit of a boost.
Following the team’s earlier assessments, there were several members with leadership backgrounds have been brought in to strengthen the team, including those who have featured in the Fiji Warriors setup.
Mr Prasad shared that after their time in Australia, they’ve identified some areas that needed improvement, and by bringing these players adds depth and experience which will be vital for them.
He said the team’s strength has increased as they sharpened combinations and builds cohesion ahead of departure.
He also emphasized the squad’s hard work and determination from the start of camp have been one of the standout qualities.
“The boys have put in alot of impressive efforts. From when camp started, they’ve all shown willingness to learn and adapt.”
The team will be departing next Thursday. As their preparations are near completion, their focus now shifts to the accomplishment on the international stage.
