7’s trio join Vodafone Fijiana camp in Gold Coast

World Rugby Sevens DHL Impact Player of the Year, Reapi Ulunisau, Fijiana 7s captain Ana Naimasi and rugged forward Raijieli Daveua have joined the Vodafone Fijiana 15’s camp for Oceania Championship. 

The Inoke Male-coached side has arrived n Gold Coast and is set to turn to focus on defending the Oceania Championship title.

After a tough outing against Wallaroos over the weekend, the Fijiana will set to recover and review their game before taking on Papua New Guinea on Friday.

The Vodafone Fijiana 15’s has arrived in Gold Coast ahead of the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship this weekend.

Fiji has won the most titles at the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship with three out of four wins since its inception in 2016.

The tournament was not played in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.

The side is currently defending champions after defeating Samoa 31-24 last year and will be looking for another victorious finish.

The ladies are on a recovery break today before they hit the ground running tomorrow.

They play their first match against Papua New Guinea on Friday at 7:30pm.

The Vodafone Fijiana 15’s plays its second match against Tonga next Tuesday, May 30th at 9:30pm

Their last pool match is against Samoa on June 4 at 6pm.
