Two days to launch season one of Global Rapid Rugby

Season one of Global Rapid Rugby is set to kick off this Saturday and all participating teams are looking to launch their Rapid Rugby campaign on a high note.

Its swift structure and law changes builds the atmosphere of the competition making it fast flowing and entertaining.

The 6 participating teams have been gearing up for this rapid rugby campaign in the past few months aligning to the games’ energy and structure.

Western Force has been playing some good preseason hit out match against local clubs in Perth while China Lions also had some scrimmages against Manuma Samoa.

Malaysia Valke predominantly made up of players from the South Africa Valke club had a good preseason campaign, also they just got off from their 2019 Currie Cup Championship last winter.

Fijian Latui has been in camp the last 3 weeks and they’ve also had some good run on session against Fijian Warriors as but of their preseason preparation.

Head coach Senirusi Seruvakula is impressed with the progress the team is showing and with 2 days to go he finds it a bit difficult in selecting his run-on team.
“It’s going to be hard to select the lineup looking at the depth in the team, the experience and the young talents and how they’re racking up in training.”

“They’ve been gelling in pretty good and our combination is coming in well”
He emphasized how their opener against China Lions will be effective for the team adding that they’re up against the current Mitre 10 Cup Champions.

“It’s going to be a big game and a tough game for us especially playing against the champion in Mitre 10 cup”

“It’s also a good game for us as it lifts up our standard of rugby, exposes our players and they gain experience from it especially the upcoming players”

Season one of Global Rapid Rugby officially launches this Saturday when Latui takes on China Lions at the ANZ Stadium followed by a double-header at HBF Park in Perth where Manuma Samoa will face South China Tigers, and the Western Force, taking on Malaysia Valke.
