Tight clash between Naitasiri and Nadroga

Nadroga and Naitasiri fans witnessed some scintillating and grueling game of rugby when the two teams played yesterday in their round 4 clash at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

The game was pretty tight and intense as no try was scored. It started at a fast pace from both teams playing fast rugby and on the fifth minute Nadroga conceded a penalty right in front of the post as Naitasiri opted to kick for goal and Tuidraki Samusamuvodre put them on the board for a 3 pointer.

Naitasiri was sloppy on their lineouts as Nadroga continue to dominate in this area. Both teams well executed their offload game making this game a swift one.

The defence was also pretty solid from both teams. Naitasiri took the lead 3-0 going into the halftime break.

24 min into the second half a scuffle on the field between Sevanaia Vuli of Naitasiri and Apisalome Waqatabu of Nadroga landed them with a red card leaving both sides with 14 men.

Naitasiri later concedes a penalty on their 22 as Nadroga kick it for a 3 pointer to level the score 3-3.

Naitasiri continue to play forwards using their pod pushing through the defense line and forcing Nadro to concede another penalty as Tuidraki Samusamuvodre kicks it over the post to Take the lead 6-3

in the 75minute another penalty was conceded to Naitasiri as Nadro level the score in 6-6.

Right in the injury time, Naitasiri continues to use their forwards to push through Nadro defense going right in front of the post as Tuidraki Samusamuvodre kicks the winning field goal to claim the victory for the Highlanders.
