Fijian Latui prepares for Western Force.

Swire Shipping Fijian Latui will go through a few intensive session as they prepare for its second Global Rapid Rugby match against the Western Force on Saturday.

Coach Senirusi Seruvakula said the team marches into camp tomorrow and there are some areas they need to polish before the second GRR match.

“We need to work on our defence, discipline and going into the breakdowns. The players made a lot of simple mistakes in the game which put us under pressure. But it’s good we have played one game and have a fair idea on what needs to be amended.”

The Fijian Latui were forced to work overtime against the Kagifa Samoa as they defeated the visitors 38-31 last Saturday.

Seruvakula highlighted the players showcased an entertaining style of the rugby and were confident of getting a win over the Pacific rivals.

“A win is a win and I’m happy that we played for the full 70 minutes. There were times when we lost the momentum but the players bounced back and worked hard for a win.”

Swire Shipping Fijian Latui captain also shared the same sentiments as coach Seruvakula after bagging their first win over Kagifa Samoa.

“I think we were fortunate to come with a win last week. We really need to work on our discipline and have the set pieces right. Western Force will come out tough against us so we need to prepare very well.”

Voka also thanked the vocal crowd who were present at Churchill Park last weekend.

“I want to thank the supporters and would also like to ask them to come in number next weekend when we take on our Australian counterparts. It will be a tough match and we need fans presence.”

Meanwhile, coach Seruvakula and his medics team will access the players before they hit the ground running from tomorrow.

Swire Shipping Fijian Latui faces Western Force at 3.10pm at Churchill Park in Latuoka.
