Seruvakula injects three Army players in his touring party

Fiji Airways Fijian Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula has strengthen his side with the inclusion of Filimoni Seru, Peni Naulago and Ratu Penijamini Makutu in the squad.

The three RFMF players joined the camp straight after returning from defending the International Defence Rugby title in Japan earlier this week.

Seruvakula took 26-member squad for the two tough away matches against the Canberra Vikings on Saturday and then Melbourne Rising the following week.

Seruvakula said “There was no injuries in the team and I have included three more players into this touring party who just came back from Military World Cup in Japan.”

Fijian Drua and Vikings have 9 points each but the Canberra based side in on 4th place with a better point’s difference.

He added “It’s very important match for us.

“At the moment we are on fifth place and the Vikings are just above us so we need to prepare accordingly.”

After their big 76-29 win over Sydney Rays last week, Seruvakula said the Drua has begun to make a perfect sail.

“We trying our best to get there and the players have started to have that bond amongst each other, right combination and playing our Fijian style” he explained.

Seruvakula highlighted Vikings will throw everything to win the match on Saturday.

“It will be a tough match against the Vikings with five Wallabies on stand-by and 12 contracted Brumbies.

“We just have to stick to our game plan and expose our talents” he said.

Fiji Airways Fijian Drua faces Canberra Vikings – 2pm this Saturday and plays Melbourne Rising 7.30pm on October 5th.
