Quarterfinalists for first Leg of Super 7s Series confirmed

An exciting Cup quarterfinal has been lined up for the first leg of the Super 7s Series at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka tomorrow.

Tabadamu finished on top in Pool A after beating Police White 7-5 in a plusating final pool match this evening.

They take on Police Blue who lost its last pool match 21-7 against Raiwasa Taveuni.

The Taveuni based side faces Police White in the second Cup quarterfinal tomorrow. In the third quarter-final, undefeated LAR Babarians faces Uluinakau.

The Pio Tuiwa captained LAR Barbarians which also has the services of players like Jerry Tuwai, Napolioni Ratu and Juita Wainiqolo finished top in its pool urging Yamacia, Wardens, and Ratu Filise.

In the last quarterfinal, Alasio Naduva captained Army faces Ratu Felise. Both teams showcased some exciting rugby.
Fiji Rugby Operations Manager Sale Sorovaki said “The day was full of exciting rugby as we witness some good and physical matches.”

He added “All the participating teams in the day one of the competition came prepared and played gave a tough time to their opponents.

Tomorrow we expect a more intense game as we will go closer to naming our champion of the four-leg Super 7s Series.”

In the Cup semifinal, the winner of the first quarterfinal will face the winner of the third quarter while the winner of the second quarterfinal meets the winner of the final quarter.

Meanwhile, in the Bowl quarterfinals tomorrow, BLK Stallions plays Fire, Wadigi Salvo meets Eastern Saints, Yamacia will face Nawaka and Dominion Brothers battle it out against Wardens.

Bowl quarterfinals kick off at 9am while the Cup quarters will start at 10.20am.

The tickets for day two are $10 for the grandstand and $5 for embarkment.

Gates open at 8am.
