Nadi round off the season in style when they defeated Naitasiri 22-8 in front of their home crowd in the Sanyo Cup final. The Jetsetters won all their games to lead the points table after the final round.
 
Coached by Iliesa Tanivula, the side took advantage of their exciting back-line to open up the game and used their elusive loose to quickly turn defence into attack.
 
Nadi led the whole 80 minutes but Naitasiri came close at half-time with a point difference 6-5.
 
Full-back Asaeli driu opened the score in the 24th minute for Nadi from a penalty goal and added another three two minutes later.
 
With sevens minutes left before the break Asaeli Naiteqe scored Naitasiri’s only try to narrow the score margin 6-5.
 
In the second half, Driu furthered the lead from a dropped goal. Naitasiri’s fly-half, Saula Rabaka converted a penalty to retain the lead 9-8.
 
However, the Jetsetters scored two more tries plus a dropped a goal from Jo Tora to seal the game.
 
Meanwhile, Nadroga won the development XVs defeating the Highlanders 17-10 and in the U19 grade, Tavua beat Navosa 22-15.
