The world's heaviest ever Test player, "Big Bill" was recalled for the crunch match in Samoa in June 2001 after missing out on selection for the 1999 World Cup. He made vital contributions in Fiji's triumph in the 2001 Pacific Rim Championship.

He came back into the picture when coach Mac McCallion called him up for his size and strength for the Test against the All Blacks in June 2002. And having missed out on the 2003 season, Cavubati joined Wayne Pivac's squad for the 2004 Pacific Tri-Nations, when he weighed in as the world's heaviest-ever Test player at 160kg.

Had All Black trials in 1993 then played for Wellington Hurricanes 1996-98. Finished 1995 season as top try scorer with Wellington Lions with a tally of 13. Hails from Lau, but went to New Zealand for education in the mid-1980s. Held Fiji schoolboy shot put record for more than a decade.
