Prop who had only played third division NPC in New Zealand prior to the 2007 national trials where he forced his way into the Fiji Test side and has remained in the starting XV since. Maternal links in Rotuma with a longtime dream to represent Fiji. Very fit for a front rower – played for Auckland age grades through to U23s, and Thames Valley in the NPC. Enjoyed a terrific 2007 Rugby World Cup as starting front-rower and capped it off with the winning try against Wales in the 78th minute.
