Nagi can be difficult to stop when on the move and is a very hardworking prop who brings a lot of impact into the scrum.

He featured in the 1993 Pacific Rim U19s tournament and in 1995, he played for Fiji U21s against Auckland. In 2000, he also featured in the East vs West match which served as the national trials.

An outstanding performance at the East v West trial in October 2001 earned him a spot for the tour to Italy and France.

He returned to the international scene in 2004 when Fiji coach Wayne Pivac used him off the bench. His strong build and physique made him the first choice prop when Fiji almost upset Wales at Cardiff in 2005.

Nagi's mobility also helped him remain in the run-on team in the white jersey for the 2006 Pacific 5 Nations.
