The team that makes the least mistakes and use their opportunities well will win says Fiji Rugby Union head coach Ilivasi Tabua ahead of the Farebrother –Sullivan trophy clash between holder Tailevu and Nadroga on Saturday.
“When you compare the form of the two sides in recent Digicel Cup matches, Tailevu has struggled to recapture their form of last season,” Tabua said.
“Nadroga on the other hand has been very consistent this season in the Digicel Cup – leading the table and being able to remain undefeated in the eight rounds of the Digicel Cup speaks for itself.”
“I believe the game will come down to the team that uses possession wisely and minimise mistakes, the team that does that best will get to put the trophy in their cabinet at the end of the day.”
Tabua believes it will be an awesome clash and added playing at home will be a real advantage for Tailevu.
Meanwhile Nadroga coach Joji Rinakama has made four changes to the side that thumped Suva 32-12 last weekend to take on Tailevu on Saturday. The changes see experienced players recalled to key positions in the starting line-up.
In the forwards, Aca Ratuva returns to pair up with skipper Mosese Volavola to man the flanks, and France based Kini Salabogi starts at lock with Etonia Naba. In the backline, Neumi Vatoga comes in for the injured Isimeli Koniferedi and hard-hitting Maleli Kunavore returns to boost Nadroga’s young backline starting at inside centre.
The match will kick-off at 3.00pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Saturday.
