HPU crush NSW Country in Nadi

A polished performance from Fiji's High Performance Development XV proved too much for NSW Country as they crushed the visitors 53-5 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. The HPU side beat the tourists 38-10 in Lautoka last week. The home side crossed the try-line nine times compared to one by the visitors and an early 22-0 lead within only 18 minutes of play began to take its toll on the Aussies. A stunned NSW Country coach Col Jeffs paid credit to the local boys: “The Fijians play a flamboyant style of rugby and they capitalised on our mistakes so that’s how they collected four easy tries at the beginning. I could say that it was a little too hot, but that is no excuse so we will have to go back to the drawing board.
