Bula Everyone.
We left Korea at midnight on Monday night. The best thing was, we got to travel by Business Class, the whole 15 tour party. We managed to get a good sleep on the nine hour flight from Korea to Dubai. It has been a long day and everyone needed that Business Class treatment to get us refreshed. The service on the Emirates Airlines was top notch.
We arrived into Dubai at 4:00am Tuesday and we felt like we'd been travelling for a whole day. We waited for about four hours before we were on the flight to London together with Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya and South Africa teams.
We arrived into London Heathrow at exactly midday on Tuesday and were met by our Liaison Officers John Howard and Phil. We were taken to our hotel (Park Inn Heathrow Hotel) which is about a five minute drive from the airport.
We were also met at the airport by Derek Derenalagi a Fijian serving with the British Army but who now does promotional work now for British soldiers.
Apparently John has been LO for Fiji for 10 years and sends his regards to all other management team thats had been here before us.
Our LO's seemed very excited and were on top of things since we were still jetlagged. We had a quick meeting in my room and then straight to lunch.
The team is once again reminded of the importance of staying focussed and the reason for being here.
Afer lunch we had a training run at the British Airways Sports Club grounds. The team had a decent blowout to get the 30 hours of travel out of the system.
We should all be looking forward to a well deserved sleep and rest tonight.
