Warriors beaten by Rebels

The Air Pacific Fiji Warriors lost night to the Melbourne Rebels in a match played in four 20 minute quarters. A tight first quarter saw Melbourne edge ahead by a single point with a converted try to two Taniela Rawaqa penalties to lead 7-6.
The Rebels opened proceedings up in the second quarter as they raced away to lead 28-13 at the half-time break, in the process scoring three tries to a solitary score from Paula Karatu.
Two more tires from the Rebels saw the new Super 15 franchise threatening to run away with the game; however two late scores from props Campese Ma’afu and Setefano Somoca put some respectability back on the scoreboard for the Warriors.

The Warriors final tour match is against the Waratahs on 4 February.
