Rokocoko and Sivivatu in Classic All Blacks Team Underline 07 May, 2013

The Classic All Blacks squad to face the Flying Fijians is yet to be named but it has been confirmed today that two Fijians will be part of the team.

Two former All Blacks stars and sons of Fiji Joe Rokocoko and Sitiveni Sivivatu have been cleared by their clubs in France to play for the Classic All Blacks which was confirmed by team management.

“Rokocoko’s club Bayonne has just cleared him this morning to play in the match which is great news. Sivivatu on the other hand had his clearance from Clement Auvergne earlier so our two Fijian All Blacks are good to go” said Andy Haden, Team Manager.

The historical match will take place on the newly renovated National Stadium on June 12 adding to the excitement of watching the Classic All Blacks vs the Flying Fijians from the international standard seating arrangements and facilities that the national stadium has to offer.

Some of the biggest names in New Zealand rugby are set to star in the visitors team, including select All Blacks heroes that won the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

While the rest of the Classic All Blacks and the Flying Fijians is yet to be named, the Fijian spectators can now expect to see two of their very own playing right here at home but unfortunately for the opposition.

Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer Manasa Baravilala says that the Classic All Blacks line up is spectacular and is a rare opportunity to see some of New Zealand’s rugby greats.

“The confirmation of Rokocoko and Sivivatu in the Classic All Blacks is exciting news not only to FRU but the fans that are looking forward to this Centennial match.”

Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive Officer Litiana Loabuka has also confirmed that ticket sales have already begun from the FSC office in Suva. Arrangements are being made for tickets to go on sale from the FSC offices in Lautoka and Lawaqa.

“With regards to ticket buyers from overseas, we are requesting that customers send their request through to and the requests will be received by our office for processing."

In the lead up to the Centennial Match the University of the South Pacific team will take on tertiary rivals Fiji National University in the curtain raiser at 2pm.  Kick off between the Classic All Blacks and the Flying Fijians will be at 6pm.

Ticket prices are $40 for the Grandstand, $20 for the Embankment and $15 for the Grass.
