Nestle Fiji sponsor Kaji Rugby
06 August, 2011
Nestlé Fiji announced on Friday that it will once again be the major sponsor of the Milo Kaji Rugby Tournament to be held later this month in Nadi.
The national schoolboy tournament organised by the Fiji Rugby Union and the Fiji Primary Schools Rugby Association is often recognised as a training ground for future sporting heroes.
Announcing the partnership today, Fiji Ruby Union’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr Pio Bosco Tikoisuva, said he was pleased to welcome back Nestlé Fiji as the major sponsor of the tournament.
“To have Nestlé Fiji on board as our sponsor is great news for the future of schoolboy rugby in this country,” he said.
“The Milo Kaji Rugby tournament is a significant annual event in Fiji and many members of our national rugby team who will go to the Rugby World Cup this year started their careers in this very same tournament.”
Nestlé Fiji Country Manager, Jean-Michel Lejeune, said he was pleased the company could sponsor the event once again.
“Rugby is such an important sport in this country; the Fijian Rugby team is one of the best in the world,” he said.
“Milo is all about living a healthy and active life and the association with Milo and the Kaji Rugby Tournament is a perfect fit for us.
“We are delighted to support it.”
