Nadroga dominate Fiji TV Nadi 7s Underline 14 January, 2012 Nadroga continued their dominance on the rugby field today, only this time in the abbreviated code, as Nadroga White defeated Nadroga Black to take out the second tournament in the Fiji TV Provincial 7s Series in Nadi by 17-10. 

Despite being beaten in pool play by Namosi One, Nadroga White recovered to dominate proceedings in the eliminations and laced with a host of former Digicel Fiji 7s reps, including Jiuta Lutumailagi and Simeli Koniferedi, never really looked like being beaten again. On the way to the Cup Final Nadroga White disposed of Fiji TV Sigatoka 7s champions Naitasiri Two by 10-5. 

It was to be a double celebration for Koniferedi as he also walked away with the player of the tournament cheque.


Woman in charge - referee Koini Vuli showed she was just as adept as the men as she took charge of several games in the Fiji TV Nadi 7s.
Participating for the first time in the main competition of the Fiji TV 7s was the Fiji Indo team who more than held their own against bigger, stronger and vastly more experienced opponents. 

On the points table, and despite their semi-final loss, Naitasiri Two lead the way followed by Lautoka One and Nadroga White. The top 12 teams on the Fiji TV Provincial 7s Series points table after next month’s Lautoka 7s gain automatic qualification to the Provincial 7s Finals in Suva.
