Injuries force changes to Digicel Fiji team

Injuries have forced two changes to the Digicel Fiji 7s team ahead of the Las Vegas 7s.
Out are Semesa Gonevou, who injured his back during training, and Apisai Navuoro who dislocated his shoulder in Fiji’s plate final victory over South Africa in Wellington.
On their way to Las Vegas to replace them are Navy players Waqabaca Kotobalavu and Nikola Matawalu as Fiji Rugby’s high performance manager, Talemo Waqa, revealed.
“We have sort leave from Navy with regard Kotobalavu and Matawalu and we are very grateful for their leave being granted by their employer – the Navy commander,” Waqa said.
Both Kotobalavu and Matawalu had initially been named as non-travelling reserves for the Digicel Fiji 7s team prior to the side's departure to Wellington.
Meanwhile the two injured players, Gonevou and Navuoro, are due to return from Auckland tomorrow.
