Europe Diary Day 18 - Goodbye to Ireland
24 November, 2009
The morning after and players revelled in the relative freedom of not having to worry about training for at least one day with the focus being on packing and leaving the proud city of Dublin and it's lovely people.
Last night, despite the rain and the 40 euros (FJD120) ticket price, the venue of the Test match was sold out - testament to the popularity and high regard with wish the Irish hold the Fijians.
This morning there was no sign of the wet weather that rained on all and sundry last evening throughout the duration of the Test match. However the biting wind and cold remained.
The team arrived at Dublin International Airport to catch the 1.15pm flight to London and wherever the boys wandered there would always be one or two Irish fans eager for a signature.
Earlier in the day while still in Dubin we lost injured skipper Seremaia Bai who made an early return to his French club.
In Heathrow it was goodbye to Mosese Rauluni and Akapusi Qera who both returned to their clubs - Saracens and Gloucester respectively.
Tonight the team travels to Romania and the historical city of Bucharest.
Take care all.
Moce mada.
