Digicel welcomes back sevens team

Digicel Fiji today held an official welcoming function to congratulate the Digicel Fiji team for their achievements in reaching the final of the Las Vegas 7s.
In thanking the team for their efforts Digicel Fiji chief executive officer David Butler believes success for the team is not too far away.
“They were unlucky not to win but regardless we were thrilled by their performance in Las Vegas and we all feel a tournament win is just around the corner, and hopefully the boys will do it in Hong Kong,” Butler said.
Digicel Fiji 7s team manager Tevita Waqairawai was overwhelmed by the reception given by Digicel.
“We are so indebted to Digicel for the way they support us both on and off the field and the whole team is so proud to carry the flag for both Fiji and Digicel wherever they travel,” Waqairawai said.
The highlight of the function was the cutting of the cake by Digicel Fiji team captain Emosi Vucago and Digicel Fiji CEO David Butler, after which the entire Digicel Fiji 7s team showed their thanks to Digicel by singing the song - meda mai laveta.
