Cakaudrove Two Qualify for Provincial 7s Finals 07 February, 2011 Red Rock, in the guise of Cakaudrove Two, have claimed one of the 12 places that were available for the Fiji TV Provincial 7s Finals after reaching the semi-finals of last Saturday’s Sky Pacific Nausori 7s where they succumbed to Northland One 19-nil in an energy sapping affair. 

Both Namosi teams qualify as the top two seeds respectively alongside dark horses Vatukoula One who have made at least the cup quarters in all three of their outings in the Fiji TV Series. 

Other teams to have qualified for the finals to be held on February 19 at the National Stadium include: Lautoka One, Suva One, three Nadroga teams – Yellow, Red and Black, Northland One, Tailevu One and Rewa. 

In addition to the top 12 teams, four other teams will qualify as wild card entrants, says Fiji Rugby Union’s operations manager, Vilikesa Rinavuaka. 

“We’d like as wide a representation in the Fiji TV series from provinces around Fiji and so obviously we’ll be looking at inviting two or three teams from major unions not represented within the top 12, and we’ll probably keep a place available for at least one minor union team,’ Rinavuaka said.
