Local water company Pleass Beverages and Packaging, the producers of AquaSafe natural artesian water, have today signed a two year deal with the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) whereby AquaSafe becomes the official water of the FRU.
On hand to sign the deal was owner and managing director of the company Warwick Pleass who threw his support behind Fiji Rugby.
“We’re very aware how important rugby is to Fiji and to its people and its times like now Fiji needs unity and to find a common purpose and rugby is one of those ways, and so AquaSafe and the Pleass Company are very pleased to support Fiji Rugby in as many ways as we can and we hope this is the start of a long and beautiful partnership," Pleass said.
Fiji Rugby’s acting chairman Rafaele Kasibulu underlined how important the water sponsorship was to Fiji Rugby.
“More so now when players body conditioning and fitness level is very demanding and one of the most important ingredients that is most required by the players is the intake of water. So we are very pleased with this sponsorship especially in this time when Fiji is preparing for the World Cup.”
The initial sponsorship is for a period of two years however Pleass is keen to develop and grow the relationship and firmly believes his company’s support will be put to good use.
“We’re really pleased to offer this support and we’re extremely satisfied that the support we’re giving will be managed and put to the best of use to support the teams and players to represent the country and make us all proud.”
