Digicel Fiji has sponsored the Lelean Memorial School under 18 rugby team for the fifth year in a row.

Lelean Memorial School Marketing and Team Manager Filipe Senibua says, “Lelean is proud to have Digicel as major sponsors for the Lelean Rugby Team.” 

He said that within the five years of this partnership, the team has been greatly encouraged to perform well in the Deans competition.
Digicel is contributing $5,000 cash to purchase full set of uniform for the team and in conjunction with Fiji Rugby Union also conducted a rugby clinic at the school.

Fiji 7s coach Eddie Waqa and Flying Fijians assistant Coach Alivereti Mocelutu were at Lelean to provide valuable rugby tips to the boys who are gearing up for the quarter finals.

The Deans Trophy is Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union’s premier event that continues to attract thousands of fans and Lelean’s Under 18 team is enthusiastic towards a win this year given their proven track record of high performance.

Digicel Fiji Ltd Marketing Manager Sheryl Singh says, “Digicel is very proud of the boys who have performed extremely well over the years and their build up towards the finals has been very promising. This sponsorship and our relationship with Lelean Memorial School is part of Digicel’s plan to assist rugby at grassroots level.
