“With the successful 2015 Pacific Nations Cup campaign behind us all, our focus is now on RWC2015 preparation,” McKee said this afternoon.

“It is important that all players are put through a medical and fitness test before we name our final squad, to ensure those selected are one hundred percent ready to go,” McKee added.

He said Nemani Nadolo notably returns to the group following an injury he sustained against the NZ Maori All Blacks team.

“Reports from medical staff in Christchurch indicate he has recovered and our medical staff will screen him as well on Thursday.

“The training camp in Fiji, through to the 31st of August will focus on re-conditioning fitness-wise and further developing our Game Plan from the 2015 PNC.

McKee said it will be a hard camp and he expects to see the benefits when the Vodafone Flying Fijians team hits RWC2015 next month.

With excitement building ahead of Rugby World Cup 2015, seventeen landmark venues across England and Wales will play host to Team Welcome Ceremonies as the world’s best teams are officially welcomed to the Tournament.

Each ceremony will have four Cap and Medal Bearers which will be 16 to 24 year olds representing the legacy of Rugby World Cup 2015. They are selected from local clubs and educational institutions and include players, Young Rugby Ambassadors and students from schools that are part of England Rugby’s All Schools programme.

Each ceremony will feature a performance of the official Rugby World Cup anthem, World in Union, sung by school choirs which were selected following a selection process, led by leading independent charity Youth Sport Trust, which was open to all schools in England and Wales. The choirs are from a mixture of state and private schools with both primary and secondary age groups involved. They vary in size from 18 to 50 pupils and perform in a range of musical styles, including choral and gospel.

Fiji is the first country to be welcomed on Thursday 10 September and the ceremony takes place at the Hampton Court Palace with students from Thurstable School from Tiptree in Essex.
