Elite Player Pathway June Camp

The Elite Player Pathway Players marched into their 3 day June Camp at the Pacific Theological College last week.

The camp coincided with the Vodafone Flying Fijians Pacific Nations Cup Samoa Test Week.

Thirteen boys and five girls marched into camp for the three days with the objective of acclimatising themselves to High Performance Environment with the Vodafone Flying Fijians players most of whom play abroad with prominent clubs and the coaching staff who come with heaps of experience.

The players also shared issues of understanding contracts and things to consider when making decisions on choosing offers from abroad.

Other sessions at the camp included a Functional Movement Screening session from Vodafone Flying Fijians Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Simon Body.

Dave Haderfield also conducted a psychology session with the players on issues such as attitude and mental preparation.

The Pathway Players also underwent a skills session with Vodaafone Flying Fijians technical coaches Mosese Rauluni, Andre Bell and Alan Muir.

The players return to represent their Provinces and clubs this week and will continuously be assessed at their Daily Training Environment.
